In order to improve the reference service, the necessity to provide reference service for translational medicine in academic library was analyzed and the translational medicine-based reference service in Library of Qingdao University was elaborated from the aspects of its contents and ways with the existing problems and weaknesses summarized.

Great changes in the way of managing, communicating and gaining access to information have been made with the introduction of information technologies in libraries. These changes create new ways of using library services. As a brand new service mode on Internet,crowd sourcing can solve the problems that need high cost and professionals by drawing on the wisdom of tens of thousands of Internet users.
